It's OK to harbor illusions, as long as you don't allow them to make you disillusioned when the Republican gang of hit men we optimistically call "Congress" smacks you upside the head with the dead fish of reality. No Democratic presidential candidate is going to admit how difficult it will be to achieve anything useful in the face of opposition that takes the form of blind hatred. The media used this same "dreamer" accusation against Jerry Brown, and he turned out to be a successful governor in a state many people thought was ungovernable.
