21. example of how underlying memberships are....

My teacher's union supported Hillary Clinton. Seeing how she 'n Randi are BFFs, no surprise.

However, only a week after the endorsement, I was at a union executive board meeting. The president remarked that there were Hillary support materials to pick up and take home, post signs, hand out literature, etc.

Except they all sat there after the meeting was over, and no one picked them up.

The only bad thing about this story is that at least several of the members are right-wingy types. I wish there were more for Bernie, but out of five members on the executive committee, I might be the only one. Two might be Hillary-oriented (and I say "might&quot and the others might even go for Trump. I know, ridiculous in a blue state.

Regardless, the point is that members do what they're gonna' do, regardless of an endorsement, if they have strong feelings about the candidate and if they are knowledgeable and informed.
