(58,785 posts)we didn't get control of congress with any Democratic candidate. If we held the house there would be some significant differences, but McConnell still promises scorched earth from the senate if they hold it.
But NO Democratic candidate with a chance of winning would be so insanely incompetent, or so completely unprincipled, as to gratify the demands of this OP. The president must serve all Americans.
Sanders is not among them, but even his presidency would be strongly formed by the realities of its context, and cooperating with Republicans, even occasionally against the Democratic caucus, is not exactly unusual for him. I'm guessing the author would see Elizabeth Warren as far less likely to try to work with Republicans than Biden, but if so that'd be out of pure ignorance of her history in congress and misunderstanding of what it takes to be effective.
