(15,720 posts)99. Did you forget that they ended the Iraq war in 2009?
They propped up the economy, sure, but what would the alternative have been? Letting Detroit go bankrupt? As for the wars, Guantanamo, immigration, etc they did what could but Congress makes the laws. When we briefly had a Dem senate they got ACA through after 80 years of failed attempts at establishing a national health care program.
p.s. here's an example of propping up the status quo:
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
