the Senate is pretty damn important. Gillibrand dealt a tremendous wound to Democratic power and effectiveness by doing the republicon job of getting rid of Al Franken.

I also don't know what the hell is going on with everyone wanting to run for president and nothing else - a lot of these "generic" candidates would be GREAT senators. The DNC puts its thumb on things anyway, why isn't the DNC putting a strategy into place to get the SENATE back in 2020? It seems they've just ceded it to McChinless and only care about unseating tRUmp.
