(152,115 posts)Never mind the Franken thing. Most people don't remember that, really - just some of us who are really interested in national politics. For everyone else, she's not a name they recognize, really.
I mean, think about it: Would you know who she was if it hadn't been for the Franken business? No? Then you're like most people.
Once again, those of us who follow politics closely know the names of a lot more politicians than that average person.
Frankly, nobody knows who Kirsten Gillibrand is, nor do they care that they don't know.
Politico knows who she is, and it's their business to write about that stuff. But, do you know how many people read politico.com? It's not as many as you might think. Only those people who care a great deal about politics even know what politico.com is.
The real world is its own place.
