Yes, we need to beat Trump. Nothing else matters if we do not. But at the same time, we need to get people thinking about a better tomorrow.
There is already pent up demand for people waiting on casting an anti-Trump vote. That's enough motivation for them. But that is not enough. We need a landslide, and I see two ways to get there:
1 - A fifty-state strategy where politicians are not criticized by other dems for localizing their pitch to voters. What flies in one district may not in the next.
2 - Bold, blockbuster ideas that inspires the next generation of voters and helps people struggling today with college costs, healthcare, childcare, etc.
The anti-Trump vote is a powerful bloc. But I'm not convinced that it's enough. I agree with Beto.
Besides, we can never return to the past. It has already happened. We can not go back in time and fix what went wrong. We can only move forward.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
