In reply to the discussion: I think these attacks on Biden will backfire... [View all]marylandblue
(12,344 posts)63. Yeah really, because Trump is going to beat the crap out of him.
If beating Trump is all that matters, you can't be a gaffe machine. If you are, the entire GE will be about what a loser Biden is. Trump gets away with stuff because he has a well-honed media strategy to control the narrative. Biden let this one get away from him, and it's not the first time.
I'm putting this in terms you'll understand. Electability. Being electable means you can control your media image as a down-to-earth, smart, experienced statesman. But Trump will play his tricks and turn Biden into a hapless, angry old fool. Is Biden prepared for this? Are you?
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

I like Biden but he is not doing himself a favor by making his recent statements about race. Words

Biden has actually dropped about 10 points on the RCP average since he peaked in early May.

I could put up with a few gaffes by Joe every now and then...perhaps it's just a case of the jitters

I think it is a bad look (seems desperate) for those Democratic candidates attacking Biden

Do YOU think it's realistic that we can "unify" with Devin Nunes and McConnell?

I see a repeat of 1976. Record number of candidates and the best known didn't win.
