(4,341 posts)First, one should not take it personally if someone else does not agree with your choice of candidate. I happen to agree with Mr. Coates, I also do not believe Biden is a good candidate, but that is not important.
What is important is that, as liberals that we are, we do not insult each other (I am not saying you have insulted anyone by the way, because you have not), or try to demean someone because they don't share our views on the candidate.
Mr. Coates is a very well prepared man, he is very intelligent and as all of us, he has his opinion on a candidate, and for most African-Americans, they don't seem to be too much with Biden, which makes him a problem for the elections, if Democrats don't have the black vote, we don't win.
Anyway, my point is that instead of trying to second guess Mr. Coates, take the time to research his allegations, try to dig as deep as you can on the political history of Biden, what he has said, what he has done, his latest changes of opinion due to his original positions were loudly rejected by Democratic voters, etc. You, and all of us, do want to make sure we elect the best candidate out of all 21, one who will not try to play politics and pretend he can convince the republicans to work with him/her, but one that puts republicans in their place, that his interests are those of the people. We must elect the best, and we must learn from each other and not take criticism of your candidate personally.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
