Who hasn't evolved and can identify with a candidate who becomes more tolerant and more enlightened. We can all look to our own families to see that. Stark difference between moving from intolerance to more tolerance and someone like trump who moved toward hate.

You can not look at old statements from yesteryear through the eyes/lens of what we think today.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
