(28,270 posts)I'm going a different way in 2020.
No more half measures for me. I want real meaningful change for all Americans, not just the comfortable and well off.
I'm a USAF veteran in my 60's one sickness or accident away from total bankruptcy. No help from the VA for dental or any health issues at all, thanks for your service...sucker! I was told I make too much!!!
No help from the ACA either as I could not afford even the lowest bronze package on the exchange because the damn republicans in this redstate I try to survive in made damn sure no help was extended to people like me.
So the ACA made an outlaw out of me that got fined hundreds of dollars at tax time that I can ill afford. No one extended any hope to a person like me at all till Bernie Sanders who has advocated programs that will help me and my loved ones immensely if he gets the chance to implement them.
I see people here everyday with GOP talking points...we can't afford that...IOW shut up go bankrupt and die fool. That's not going to resonate very much with the present electorate IMO. Many candidates are mouthing the words but Sanders has been pushing these programs for years, when it wasn't popular so I trust him alone.
That's why I'm all in for Bernie.
Of course in the end I'm voting for the democratic nominee. We will see what develops....
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
