(4,377 posts)The one where she was directly asked about the rumors of Obama being a Muslim (that it was strongly rumored her own campaign had been spreading) where she refused to hit out at the rumors and just said he wasnt as far as I know when pressed on the subject.
Or one of her surrogates implying that Kenya was his country?
Or refusing to criticize the distribution of a photo of Obama in tribal costume (that again her own campaign were heavily rumored to have been spreading around)?
Seriously, if you dont think 2008 was vicious on a personal level, then either you werent following politics in 2008, or else you were a die hard Hillary supporter who managed to somehow blank out what was going on.
Lets just finish with this little gem from Hillary which she came out with after it was clear that Obama was winning the nomination..
There was just an AP article posted that found how Senator Obamas support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans is weakening again, and how the, you know, whites in both states who had not completed college were supporting me
I have a much broader base to build a winning coalition on.
