As for his age, that is why we also elect a Vice President. Frankly people also drop dead in their 50s and 60s, too, and without any warning sometimes. Further, his vast experience as a Senator, along with his experience as Obama's VP, means that he can walk in the White House door and begin undoing Trump's disastrous doings instantly. At the same time, he knows how the Executive Branch works with the Legislative Branch better than almost anyone, which would work to enable him to get things done, in terms of legislative action.
I'd prefer a VP nominee who will still be vital and youthful at the end of Biden's term in office. I say "term" because I expect that he'd be likely to hand off the job after one term. That's why I recommend Harris as his running mate. There are other reasons, too, but I won't list those. She'd benefit from four years as VP and would be able to get up to speed on the executive responsibilities. She has some legislative experience and would probably be doing congressional liaison work as VP to add to that.
Even if Biden served two terms, she'd still be a great choice following those, as well.
Warren would be OK, too, but she has a age issue, as well, so I think Harris would be a better choice.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
