(53,341 posts)when we look at that statement we see bigotry well guess what your OP is bigotry as well. Neither Sanders nor Biden are my first choice but their age isn't my issue with either one. I think it is perfectly reasonable to have a discussion as to whether these particular candidates who will turn 80 in office are good or bad candidates. And part of that discussion would of necessity be health and age. Just like the young age of Buttigieg and O'Rourke would be subjects of discussion. Both Biden and Sanders seem to be healthy men who are up to the challenge of both campaigning and governing. Similarly both Buttigieg and O'Rourke seem to be prepared to govern. But to out and out refuse to consider someone simply because of age is, in fact, ageist.
