(151,343 posts)13. Exactly, and that is what we should be selling, not socialism,
which is totally misunderstood by the public. We cannot redefine it in people's minds. People are not listening to our attempts to do so. The effort to demonize the word "socialism" has succeeded over the past 50 or 60 years. It would take at least that long to redefine it in a positive way, and only if the demonizing disappeared, which it will not.
Democracy. Democratic. Justice. Prosperity for all. We have plenty of other words we can use. We should use them all freely and effectively.

Depends on how you define the term "Democratic Socialist" but the Nordic model seems successful.
