(12,637 posts)all governmental institutions. The State Department alone will need someone with true knowledge to put the components back together. Trump and his minions have completely hollowed out our diplomatic core. In addition, someone with foreign policy experience and knowledge of how and why our alliances work will have a clear advantage in reestablishing those alliances and relationships. This is no small thing.
Btw, we're not talking about the past or anything remotely similar because the primary danger is sitting right inside the WH. We're looking at the here and now and into the future. It's all at risk because the threat is existential to the country as a whole.
I didn't like Reagan or Bush but I never entertained the thought that either man was a true traitor, a wanna-be Mussolini, enabled by those equally treacherous.
This is a different scenario, a whole different ballgame. Which is why I keep stressing--losing is not an option in 2020 and WINNING IS EVERYTHING.
Because?
Our national survival depends on kicking Trump, Trumpism and runaway nationalism to the curb.
Anything less is suicidal.
