(3,259 posts)And as far as finances go, it will not provide the transparency many think. A lot of Trumps own tax returns would not include a lot of what is being discussed about his finances.
In 2016 how many of our primary candidates released tax returns? I think it was one out of four. How many of our current candidates have released tax returns? Very few. I believe with Harris you can go to her office in California to review one years worth. No copies. No pictures. Some, like Harris, who has filed jointly, might prove problematic for other reasons.
If someone running for the Presidency refuses to release their taxes it will give me serious pause. With Sanders it would be a non-starter for me because of how he handles the situation. I believe it should be up to the candidate.
