(13,056 posts)Not that it would be terrible if it was, there's nothing wrong with preparing a line of attack, and nothing wrong with being ready to capitalize on it if it worked.
But it doesn't seem like the case this time. Based on how the opportunity arose (the other candidate saying "You don't know that" to which he came back with "I *do* know it, I wrote the damn bill!" ), he couldn't know there would be such an opportunity. Second, having seen Sanders on SNL, IMO, he is not that good of an actor to have nailed that delivery and timing. That was a genuine in-the-moment response.
And in these days of this thing called "internet" it is perfectly believable that his campaign/web guys saw the opportunity to market it, and had it up on the web site about an hour and a half later. Kids today!
