(111,938 posts)When 2016 rolled around I looked upon our differences as honest differences in opinion. However, nearly every discussion this time around is that candidate X is not nearly as progressive as Bernie.
Bernie's politics might work well in Vermont, but I think it would be a disaster for Democrats throughout the rest of the country if he lead the ticket.
I'm supporting Beto because I think that he will appeal to voters in all areas of the country. We have already seen the coattails that he has in Texas after the 2018 Senate campaign. Having Bernie at the top of the ticket means that Texas will be gerrymandered for another 10 years after the upcoming census. I suspect that may be true in other states which is the reason Bernie is at the bottom of my list. If Bernie is the nominee then Democrats might as well concede the South until 2032 and we will lose the momentum we gained in 2018 with candidates such as O'Rourke, Abrams and Gillum.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
