In reply to the discussion: 'DONALD TRUMP IS AN IDIOT,' BERNIE SANDERS TWEETS ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON [View all]Newest Reality
(12,712 posts)First, Don is, in my opinion, a poorly educated, vulgar, crass, mouthy, aggressive, bigoted, not very literate, (include you favorites here) person. I make that pronouncement based on observation of his overall behaviors.
Then, you can add the dark triad of malignant narcissism, Machiavellian, psychopathy.
Even though he may pretend to be a billionaire, we don't even know what his net worth really is, do we? We do know he probably has a sizable amount of debt and has done some bankruptcies. We can also consider his numerous business failures and his tendency to stiff contractors and now, El Paso. So, I certainly wouldn't approve a car loan to this marauding cretin who seems to be acting more as the emergence of the US Id, in a Freudian sense.
So, barring the volumes of accurate descriptions of this human canker sore who desperately wants to be a reality TV despot, there is one factor that I don't think should be overlooked here. In other words, know your enemy.
The public face of DT is having an obvious, demonstrable and deletorious impact. Isn't that success on his part? Methinks this is intentional and skillful. It has many, many ramifications for his intent to cease the power of the Office, disintegrate the country, (in order to make it vulnerable to the interests who are vying for ascendancy in that event) and that includes the theocratic shadow of the the rather quiet and pensive Pence casting the cross of our cultural crucifixion he would bring in any aftermath.
That said, this pox on humanity that has become the pResident is an expert manipulator. Cries about what an idiot he is are only true in other respects. In this case, that only feeds into what I think are his intents, motivations and, more importantly, what is going on by way of action on the sidelines.
If you underestimate that, then he has the upper-hand and a great advantage. Remember that the emotions he stirs on both sides are useful and this is not about emotions, but facts, reality, laws, legislation and other pragmatic factors!
In that case, it would behoove our current candidates for the Party to have professional analysts investigate trumps strategies and behaviors in the past very, very carefully, down to the slightest detail. I assure you, their are many techniques he uses expertly like a samurai's sword to get his way, ultimately. This is not just about low information voters and his base, though they are very prone to these expert manipulations. There are some breakdowns on his tactics available online. This was all obvious in the debates that he participated and you are seeing it daily and the the practiced, methodical political and social prestidigitation is working well as you may have noticed.
If you then see his strategy then anybody who interviews him, comments on his inanity, or goes into a debate best be WELL PREPARED in order to not fall prey to a master predator, (socially, politically, economically and sexually). You are toast in that case. I would hope that Bernie and the other candidates are going to truly wise up and see into the rotten core of this wormy apple we have there.
If we don't rapidly shift over to noticing and understanding the methods he uses and we only manage to focus on word slinging and derogatory remarks about his "intelligence", or the emotions he intentionally exploits, the point is really being missed and shame on us this time because we are being fooled and fooled well.
It is my opinion that the outcome of the 2020 election will hinge on this, among other things. We do, (en masse) ignore it at our peril.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
