(112,090 posts)His voting record has been summarized pretty well, particularly during the 2018 Senate campaign. Aoparently his voting record was strong enough that he served three terms in the House and it was also strong enough to beat two competitors in the Senate primary last year including the DSA candidate, Sema Hernandez.
However, I do have an issue when someone posts a thread saying that it represents Beto's voting record when it was about bill sponsorships instead. Then when the error is pointed out the OP is not corrected or deleted.
Then another poster told me today that Beto apologized to Ted Cruz for calling him a liar in the 2018 Senate debate. Beto did not apologize to Ted Cruz, but he did regret saying "Lyin' Ted" because he did not want to go negative. The reincarnation of that troll was banned by MIRT a few hours later.
I don't have any inclination to support a candidate when the supporters of the candidate use deceit and misrepresentation.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
