Democratic Primaries

(4,377 posts)How was Joe subjected to extreme vetting? People asking questions and raising concerns about his past record is exactly what you should expect (and indeed want) during this process, because the GOP will certainly use anything they can against us.
What even is 'extreme' vetting? Is there some stuff that should remain hidden and that we should hope the inevitable GOP investigators in the general never find out?
I want all candidates (including Bernie) to be investigated, have their past records examined and any worrying past actions or words questioned during the primaries, so we come out the other side with a strong candidate with no unexpected surprises to be revealed later.
This isn't a game where we all win or lose based on who gets the nomination. If any of us get our prefered candidate but then they screw up later and it costs us the general, then we've lost far worse than if a different candidate had won the nomination. Let's never forget that ANY Democrat is better than a Republican.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
