Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: Two groups apparently fear Beto immensely: Republicans and Sanders supporters [View all]floppyboo
(2,461 posts)First - why drag the Republicans into this debate? Your second paragraph gives some kind of numerical (?) data for Sanders supporters - where is the Republican fear group? Why are these 2 groups grouped together in your title line?
Second, from MY observation, I've seen a majority of threads started pro-Beto. You might want to include a 24 hour count of threads started.
Third, talking about policies of candidates is one of the things Bernie supporters do best!!!
Also, investigating possible influence is another thing they do real good - hence the anti-pac groups.
Also, there is a great deal of skepticism amoung Sanders supporters for courting the 'middle' which is symbolized in the Third Way group that is supporting Beto, so of course you are going to hear some push back. I don't think this is all millennial, but a good chunk of the younger activists are definitely part of that group. So fear? I think not. More just simple push-back.
Some things will be more important to some people than some other things. I was under the assumption that this Democratic Primary sub-group was here to discuss just these sorts of things.
Not saying that 'emotional' reads aren't valid. It's always interesting to hear what the more enlightened empaths and seerers have to say.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
