The nightmare might be over but the recovery will take many years. But we will also need to survive the months from when Trump is defeated and he leaves or is dragged from office because he will be doing lots of evil and mischief during that time.


And that aftermath is something that really worries me. The recovery will take time meaning people need to be patient. But worse, I don't see Donald Trump going into That Goodnight willingly or easily. I can imagine him creating as much chaos and confusion as possible when he loses, trying to set a match to the entire government infrastructure that did not support him, vote for him, adore him.

We're going to need a seasoned hand to handle that as well as everyone on board to push back against what could become another grim nightmare. Too many loose cannons out there who have bought Trump's con hook, line and sinker.

Yes, it is worrisome. We'd be fools not to be prepared for the worst while hoping for the best.
