(28 posts)I'm with you. I wanted her to run in 2016, though I understand why she didn't. I was stuck with supporting Bernie because there was just far too much I disagreed with Clinton on.
The BIG difference is her favorables. Neither Clinton or Kerry had her work ethic or authenticity. She can and will win people in the general over. The contrast between her and Trump could not be more favorable.
I keep hearing from women of all ages that the country isn't ready for a female President. While I understand this after the disappointment last time but I think it's easily disprovable. Hillary was (and still is) one of the most hated politicians in recent political history. In spite of that, she won the popular vote and almost won the election. Warren is light years more likable than Clinton.
As a white man who wouldn't vote for Clinton, I can tell you I CANNOT WAIT to cast my ballot for Warren. I'm not alone. We can do this, and it's long past time for white men who want to be on the right side of history to put our money and our votes where our mouths are. Until we have more women leading this world, the world will continue to suffer from the consequences of toxic masculinity. I'm not about to let my daughter grow up in a world where I haven't done absolutely everything I can to help counteract it.
Regardless of all that, she is simply the strongest candidate and the best leader in the race.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
