this article was written (and that Monmuth's director had admitted was an outlier by the itme the article in the OP was published), and saying Warren is "surging" when her numbers have been creeping up slowly for months.

A Harris X poll I posted about this weekend used the words "inching past" to describe Warren finally doing better than Sanders among likely voters in their poll.

Warren is slowly, quite slowly, gaining more support from the progressive bloc of the party that Sanders had dominated earlier this year. She now has roughly the same amount of support he does (she's in 2nd place in some polls, he's in 2nd place in others), which is definitely better than having about a quarter of that bloc of support, as she did earlier this year.

But there's no real sign yet that she'll ever overtake Biden.

And she hasn't been doing as well as even Sanders, let alone Biden, in the polls of different candidates in match-ups against Trump.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
