When the Confederates tried to attack one sector, he ordered the troops to not return fire but to simply part ranks to show just how many troops the Confederates were facing.
When the surrender was signed, Union troops started firing their guns into the air in celebration and Grant ordered them to stop.
When the convention is over, I hope that whoever wins it... tells their supporters to not be gleeful over the misfortune of the other candidates... we all have a bigger orange fish to fry.
