(58,785 posts)in places and times by governments like the U.S.'s capitalism-based one, Russia's socialist state, Sawdi Arabia's absolute monarchy, Uganda's dictatorship, Kaiser Wilhelm's and later Hitler's Germany, Louis XIV's France, Julius Caesar's Rome, China's Quin dynasty long before the birth of Christ, and on and on.
Sanders is trying to defuse the word "socialist" by deceiving people into believing good old Mom and apple pie were really always socialist and therefore they are too. And he should be called out for it. If telling truth about his doings is detraction, that's entirely on his head.
Sanders should be educating people as to what socialism and its democratic socialism form really are. After all this time, it's outrageous that most his own supporters haven't known he advocated socialism or what socialism was, and in millions of cases still don't know.
