Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: Trump goes after Joy Reid this morning and DU promptly joins in with multiple threads trashing her [View all]NanceGreggs
(27,835 posts)I've read multiple threads here today about Joy Reid, and none of them were about her "not being nice enough to one particular presidential candidate". They were about Reid calling on Biden to get out of the race.
Right now, Biden is the front-runner; i.e. more Democrats support him than the other candidates. That could change at any time - but that's where we stand right now.
By calling on Biden to drop out of the race, Reid has obviously decided that her opinion should override the opinion of those who support him - which is the opinion of the majority of Dems who have expressed that support to date.
It would behoove Ms. Reid - and Bill Maher, Michael Moore, etc. - that we collectively as Democrats will choose who our nominee is, and NOT the pundits, TV show hosts, and filmmakers who seem to think their own political opinions to be somehow superior to ours.
As for Trump "going after" Joy - name a day when he's not going after someone. And just because he does so doesn't mean that if he's pissed-off at someone we are also pissed-off at (for very different reasons), we are somehow "joining in" with Trump.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
