For the umpteenth time, that's not a relevant retort or substitute for a progressive and articluate position concerning race and white supremacy, as Sanders learned at the She the People forum. Nor does it excuse being tone deaf or slow to condemn racist acts on the part of his supporters in his name.
And no, it wasn't just a couple, and they were doing it in his name. It's not the first time that his supporters have organized to harass a group they feel 'betrayed' Sanders, and he needs to understand that no matter how unhappy he is with the target of the harassment, he needs to make a PERSONAL and sincere denouncement of that kind of behavior.
Yes, that WFP endorsement of Warren must have really, really stung - not just him but many of his most fervent supporters, who feel that Sanders represents their anger.
Especially since Bernie has called the WFP the closest thing there is to a political party that believes in my vision of democratic socialism.
I find it interesting that he didn't use the term "I" or even "My campaign" in his tweet, or name WFP and support them.
Not surprising, but interesting.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
