1. LBJ was unpopular - so being his VP was a liability. In 2020, Obama is extremely popular so being his VP is a major asset.
2. Vietnam war was the major issue then. Humphrey didn't promise to end it. In 2020, getting rid of Trump is the major issue. Biden has promised to do it.

Comparing Humphrey with Biden was not only disingenuous, it was downright Machiavellian.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
