In reply to the discussion: Gabbard: "I don't see deplorables. I see fellow Americans worthy of respect" [View all]thesquanderer
(13,001 posts)15. I have defended Sanders and Biden as well.
I post positively AND negatively about the same candidates. My perspective is one of trying to be fair and accurate. I defend Gabbard more often because, for whatever reason, I see more (IMO) unjustified attacks on her. Same with Sanders, really. Some attacks are legit, but others are just some kind of knee-jerk hate, which disturbs me. And yes, I do see some positive things in Gabbard, though not enough for me to vote for her.
In fact, I just posted against a Gabbard point at https://www.democraticunderground.com/1287313194#post11
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

Could you not see Biden or Klobuchar making very much the same speech? (n/t)

The Deplorables comment was about people who were filled with hatred for their fellow Americans

She's up for re-election. She probably knows that she's not going to be...

I see a candidate who has just disqualified herself and who needs to withdraw immediately.
