Democratic Primaries

(42,862 posts)... this is what happens when any politician is too emotionally invested in a single idea, or in a single way to implement something. For vanity's sake, politicians are often "married" to his (or her) concept and are unwilling (or incapable) of considering other viewpoints, or recognizing facts. Even something as simple as adjusting or fine-tuning their message appears to be an impossible task for some politicians. When he (or she) would prefer to "stick to their guns" and not be willing to change or compromise... they often end up with nothing. Yet, I find it bizarre when he (or she) boasts to his (or her) followers that they "held strong" with their "never compromise" viewpoint... and supposedly, ending up with NO LOAF instead of half-a-loaf is something to be proud of.
All I'm saying is... I thought the entire idea behind being "progressive" was to actually create "progress".
