Democratic Primaries

(130,725 posts)I supported him in the 2016 primaries because the choice then was binary, and I agreed more with most of his positions than I did with Hillary's. I just hoped he'd help push her to take up some more progressive views (which she did) because I didn't really expect him to get the nomination. Of course, I voted for Hillary in the general. With more (younger, diverse) candidates to choose from this time, however, I don't need Bernie, and I especially don't need or want the divisive Jill Stein retreads he's chosen to manage and represent his campaign. That was the last straw. He's now on my big-fat-no list with Gabbard, Gillibrand and Williamson. Obviously any Democrat is better than Trump, but this year there are plenty of great Democrats to choose from. I no longer consider him to be one of them.
