Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: NEW POLL: Nearly half of Americans think Democrats have moved too far to the left [View all]kurtcagle
(2,658 posts)I find it intriguing how the message is framed. There is no mention about what percentage feel the country has moved too far to the right. Moreover, if reframed, it says that 21 percent of Republicans believe that the country has not moved too far to the left, that the overwhelming majority (83%) of Democrats believe that it has moved too far to the right, and that 52% of all independents do not believe that it has gone too far to the left.

Think I find interesting is that 43% of the population believes we've moved too far to the right, only marginally less than the 47% who feel it's gone too far to the left. This isn't that surprising - the Democratic party overall is still fairly pluralistic.
Looking at the overall poll though, you can tell that the Hill definitely cherry picked its statistics - dig into the details and it looks pretty bad for the Republicans at this stage all across the board.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
