There are however, people who worked actively for the outcome; and those who worked actively against it.
What Moore did in 2016 does not excuse 2000, which was to work for the outcome obtained.
The are people who elevate the perfect over the good, albeit with the caveat that their vision of what "perfect" actually is reflects even in the most generous assessment, muddled thinking.
Now, there are many things about Al Gore that do not jive with my personal views. This said, America would have stayed a great country had he prevailed in the election decided by a politicized Supreme Court. Hundreds of thousands of human beings killed in unnecessary warfare would still be alive.
I have no use for Moore, and no use for his smug sarcastic view of decency and justice.
Yes he got to sell books and movie tickets because of the outcome, but this certainly calls into question his view of his own personal nobility.
I think him ethically unappealing.
