(128,150 posts)I'm surprised that he hasn't reviewed the video and noted that he appears old as he cups his hand behind his ear. Surely, someone in his campaign has raised that issue with Bernie? As an outside observer I noticed Bernie's hearing problems this primary season, so there really aren't any subtleties to miss. And even if Bernie is oblivious to his own hearing problems, then why isn't Jane saying something about it to Bernie?
I've noted my diminishing hearing and I'm only 54. I can still hear a wide range of beeps when I take the hearing test. I can still hear all of the musical instruments when I listen to a band or orchestra. Most of my hearing difficulties are because people aren't pronouncing their words well, they are facing a different direction from me while speaking, or they are trying to speak over a running dishwasher or a fan motor.
One of the vital skills of a diplomat is to be able to listen to others. Any candidate that is incapable of doing so moves down my list of people that I will vote for since there will be others that are capable of exercising those skills.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
