I think folks like Klobuchar and Pete would be much more likely to end up as the VP nom. Patrick might also end up on that list depending on how his candidacy develops.

Honestly, there's a high chance the the VP isn't going to be from the field. Biden has been around a long time and has connections everywhere throughout the Democratic party.

What about former Obama admin people?

Susan Rice has some great foreign policy and national security chops, but does she have more baggage than you'd want in a VP pick?

Anthony Foxx is a relatively obscure name, but he is young, was a popular mayor in Charlotte and later served as Secretary of Transportation. He led Charlotte through the recession, which was no easy feat. He managed to be a cabinet member before turning 45, another impressive feat.

He's a NC native and would play really well in VA, NC, GA, and FL.

Another name to consider from the Obama days; Jeh Johnson.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
