In reply to the discussion: They better knock Buttigieg out of the running before any debates or the others are toast... [View all]not_the_one
(2,227 posts)The sexual continuum ranges from someone being exclusively homosexual (like myself), to exclusively heterosexual, with a huge group in the middle.
The only people who can have a preference are the ones in the middle, bisexuals.
Gays are gay, just because we ARE. Using "preference" implies it's like picking a shirt color in the morning. For us, that is not how it works.
Words can be loaded, and we MUST shape the narrative using facts and logic. Let the Republicans lie and spin (quoting the bible), we should speak truth. The bible is NOT where you go to find the truth. Propaganda, maybe, but not factual truth.
I believe Mayor Pete has already met the quota of individual donors to be in the debates. After the debates he should be able to get a lot more.
It is a long shot for the top slot, but he sure would make a great VP choice. And he would bring in a huge number of young voters.
If anyone is going to save us, it is the young. We can't expect change by electing more of the same, using the failed tactics and policies that have put us in the position we are currently in.
Kama/Pete sounds hopeful. With 16 years of Democratic control, hopefully the current iteration of the Republican party will be thrown into the dustbin of history.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
