Democratic Socialism is easy to explain by pointing to Nordic Countries while the party is usually silent while Fox News & Republicans are comparing it to Venezuela which authoritarism isn't associated with Democratic Socialists. I remember people defending socialism over 10 years ago by pointing out tax rates in the early days of Keynesian economics.
I'm not worried about takeover when the third way took over the party ever since then has embraced the philosophy while treating anyone to the left of them like traitors while still expecting their votes. I do everything right this board wants me to do I vote for the more liberal option in a primary then vote for the nominee. I even voted for Krysten Sinema and she is my state's Joe Manchin.
