And we lose because campaigning is about storytelling, not policy.

Hillary, Gore, Kerry, and Dukakis were weak candidates even though they would have all made great presidents.

Obama and Bill knew how to win elections because they are powerful speakers. They were great storytellers.

That matters enormously.

I believe Elizabeth Warren would have won in 2016 even with the same voter supression. She has that campaign ability. Hillary could have also overcome voter supression if she had different strengths. But she didn't.

That's what I think Booker is acknowledging.

I think it's important to recognize that campaigning is a powerful and necessary leadership skill we should nominate people who excel at that.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
