Why tip your hand this early? Remember when Joe was named then candidate Obama's VP pick? It was like a well-managed ad campaign. They kept the public in thrall for weeks, IIRC.
Don't give the repubicans another target this early. Make them use the shotgun approach until the right moment. Diffuse their attacks.
