Obama's staying out of the primary, but this means he's blessed Beto over Joe.
It's also a sign of the times and the passing of generations: Biden is still working on a 20th century timeline, when you can start your hiring in June of the year before the election. But things are accelerated now.
Anyways, I think this will effectively keep Biden from announcing, though he will continue to be coy through the summer until he endorses.
