57. Well, pot being illegal before hasn't stopped anything, and if anything, the drug trade...

including pot has leaped by gigantic amounts over the last 20-30 years, and hasn't seem to have abated, regardless of the illegality of pot. Perhaps making pot legal is one way to (1) make tax revenues to more effectively fight the other scourges (heroin, meth, illegally used prescribed medicines, alcohol, etc.). There are other things that need more attention perhaps. Everybody is trying to get their hands around this issue and it impacts all of us.

Meth is a big problem, especially in rural Missouri where my retired Mom lives. I worry about her constantly, thinking that one day, someone is going to knock her in the head and steal from her to support their drug habit. And they have passed laws regarding the purchase of the OTC drugs that are used to manufacture meth, but that hasn't seemed to really dent the trade...it's simply moved over the border into Mexico and other places south.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
