Democratic Primaries

(38,726 posts)I believe that my state will vote for a democratic nominee, as it usually does. But what about other states? Those that decide the electoral college vote. Will they come through and vote for Bernie? Yes, there are the Republican States and the Democratic States. What about the others? Will the "if" states vote for Bernie. Or call them the "I don't know states" will they vote for Bernie?
...About compromising Medicare for all, or all social programs that need to be passed, that is not the issue. And it won't be the issue till after the election in 2020.
..The key as far as I see it, is to elect our candidate. Being golden on an issue may be important, but we have not got the issue maker elected yet. Who are we going to elect that will be able to push through an issue in a mixed Congress 18 months from now? If I could be sure that Bernie's drawbacks would not hurt in the regular election, maybe I would be strongly for him.
..My guess is that they will hurt him. These issues have already hurt him in some ways. Where are the tax returns? Ok. What about this person who worked for Jill Stern? Will Bernie be so far off the center that he is not electable? Is there some problem with Bernie not supporting our nominee if it isn't him?
..So we will all see hopefully how and why this turns out. I hope the best for all candidates, and most important that we win in November of 2020
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
