In reply to the discussion: Beto O'Rourke Raised $6.1 Million Online in First 24 Hours of Campaign [View all]TexasTowelie
(126,742 posts)34. He has children, he has been campaigning for two years,
and he probably needs to recharge his batteries. I trust his judgment not to run if his heart isn't into it. Do you (or anyone else) think that your opinion about what Beto should do is better than Beto's own judgment and why are you (or anyone else) trying to control his life? If so, then isn't that the height of arrogance?
Beto is still young and can shape the political environment in other ways besides being a perennial political candidate. Beto may be offered a cabinet position or he may decide to run for another political office at some future date. Beto is a grown man and he is capable of making his own decisions.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

That's a lot of "flagged" contributions. Can you imagine if any other candidate had so many?

He's got FAR more contributions than even contributors, but when someone urges followers to give....

If so, I hope he doesn't hang around till just before the convention, talking about rigged primaries

I believe that it was either 7% or 8% which is a pretty decent showing in a crowded field.

I don't doubt your assessment, but this is how Beto flounders nationally

He would have been a stronger candidate before his ill considered presidential campaign.

There's a lot of whole lot of malarkey going around. The Canadian flag has a maple leaf on it.

I agree that money is not the sole factor that determines whether a campaign is viable.
