Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: How is Bloomberg getting so much support? [View all]question everything
(52,440 posts)16. Ross Perot. Donald Trump
Even, there I say it here? Andrew Yang and Tom Steyer.
Many voters still long for a "business owner" to take control of the maddening bureaucracies and just cut through all the paperwork and get things done.
But, as we know, democracy is messy but as others have said: the best we can have. We do have three branches of government and we do need to consider everything into making a decisions.
While none of the men in my examples would do it, not even Trump, we have to remember the successful business owners succeed by, among other things, recognize "non performing assets" and divest out of them. In human terms, these "non performing assets" would be the poor, the sick and the elderly..
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

I think a lot of the negativity has to do with a few positions he's had over the years....

So if he is the nominee to take on Trump, you aren't sure you will vote or for him? Really?

I would be horrified if he won the nomination (I doubt he will), but I would still vote for him,

He was much more well known than most of the candidates were before they started running

He's not getting very much support at all. Registering above other minor candidates is not a feat.

His support is about what it was before he took his name out of contention early in the primaries

I don't remember Joe Biden supporting George W. Bush and Dick Cheney for re-election.

The question in the OP wasn't why activists at a political blog do or don't support him...
