If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

If Biden gets in the race I don't think so. After Super Tuesday, I would speculate at most 3 to 4 still_one Feb 2019 #1
I think we'll be down to 3 or 4 (maybe 5) after Super Tuesday. But a tight 3-way race... Garrett78 Feb 2019 #9
I agree. I just think it isn't as likely if Biden runs. I think most of the Hillary supporters still_one Feb 2019 #38
I would vote for Biden. Demsrule86 Feb 2019 #43
Stop this pot stirring already. It's VERY unlikely to happen SFnomad Feb 2019 #2
The vast majority will have dropped out before the convention. That's a given. But... Garrett78 Feb 2019 #7
It's no less possible than is has been in the last 40 years ... and it's NEVER happened yet SFnomad Feb 2019 #10
2020 will be the 1st time ever that superdelegates can't vote on the 1st ballot. Garrett78 Feb 2019 #15
FFS, I didn't miss the rule change, the first round doesn't include Superdelegates SFnomad Feb 2019 #19
If only 2026 is required, that does help. But in a tight 3-way race... Garrett78 Feb 2019 #23
You are making a big deal over something that has not happened to Democrats in nearly 70 years SFnomad Feb 2019 #24
Again, making a post or engaging in discussion is not synonymous with "making a big deal." Garrett78 Feb 2019 #25
The "brand new" rules are the roughly the same rules for the first round that we had, before we SFnomad Feb 2019 #26
You've made a bigger deal out of this than I ever intended. Garrett78 Feb 2019 #27
For someone that never intended to make a big deal out of this, you replied to SFnomad Feb 2019 #28
I never said it was likely, just that there's a "decent chance." Garrett78 Feb 2019 #29
There isn't a "decent chance" either. Outside chance ... at most. And only if SFnomad Feb 2019 #30
I'll let your 8th post of the thread go without a reply. Peace. Garrett78 Feb 2019 #31

Lets take a look at the New Hampshire primary. CentralMass Feb 2019 #39
There are all sorts of headlines (CNN, WSJ, NYT, The Guardian, etc.) making it clear... Garrett78 Feb 2019 #40
There are many similar to those that I posted at news sites across the country. CentralMass Feb 2019 #42
No, there isn't a decent chance... brooklynite Feb 2019 #3
Of course most of the maybe 20 candidates will be gone by Super Tuesday, but in a close 3-way race.. Garrett78 Feb 2019 #6
We know you LOVE Superdelegates! nt USALiberal Feb 2019 #14
There may well be a brokered convention that goes beyond the first vote Gothmog Feb 2019 #4
How is this more power than ever before? aikoaiko Feb 2019 #5
Because they could actually determine the ultimate outcome. Garrett78 Feb 2019 #8
Couldn't they have done that before? aikoaiko Feb 2019 #21
The super delegates would then vote for the candidate that has the most delegates as Demsrule86 Feb 2019 #44
Then it is the candidate with the most delegates who wins...very doubtful there will be a tie. Demsrule86 Feb 2019 #45
Oh knock that off. Codeine Feb 2019 #11
+1 SFnomad Feb 2019 #12
It's not hysteria and I'm not saying it's likely. But... Garrett78 Feb 2019 #16
There isn't going to be a second ballot. Codeine Feb 2019 #18
While it may not be likely, it's more likely than you may think. Garrett78 Feb 2019 #22
Could you remind me of the rule change? I thought they were eliminated. LAS14 Feb 2019 #13
They weren't eliminated. They just can't vote on the 1st ballot. Garrett78 Feb 2019 #17
If it ends up with the superdelegates, that's what they are there for. CrossingTheRubicon Feb 2019 #20
Without Hillary in the race, it's unlikely to matter FBaggins Feb 2019 #33
There would never be a rule change making second ballot a "decent chance" Awsi Dooger Feb 2019 #37
I think you're right Renew Deal Feb 2019 #41
