In reply to the discussion: Andrew Yang: "Impeachment is a disaster" [View all]Midnightwalk
(3,131 posts)49. I like that question better
As if that matters.
Some said do it fast. Some said why bother the senate wont convict. Others said get more evidence.
Then there was evidence a few months ago that trump extorted Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 election.
Ive read that more than a few representatives said that was the straw that made them switch to support.
At what point does silence become consent? The critical question is when is there no longer an excuse to remain silent. Not what was the earliest time.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

I disagree with him on this. We know he won't be removed but Trumps crimes must be exposed,

The only thing worse than impeachment is not impeaching corrupt and criminal behavior.

Yang has also supported impeachment, but I don't think his comment in OP is particularly helpful now

I'm not sure about that. The Constitution allows for impeachment but it doesn't require it.

We're supposed to defeat him in the election, after which you can indict him.

I don't think Impeaching him increases the chance of his electoral loss or criminal indictment
