When you have people who are otherwise in acceptable standing within society, Gates is but one example. When he refused to say he would support Warren over Trump, you have an example of what the elite will tolerate for president (Trump) in order to maintain control over their wealth.
Corporate media likes a horse race, that is why they maintained live cameras on Trump's rallies even while he wasn't there and of course Republicans will go after Joe Biden. The circle will be much wider for Sanders/Warren, Warren/Sanders. Manchin will not be the exception on the Democrats side.
